The Spirograph Pendant has looping lines that call a certain drawing device to mind. But the finesse with which it was created by designer Tom Caldwell makes this machined piece a light and airy wonder beyond the skills of an amateur. The black pendant has a solid brass interior in a vintage brass finish and wrought iron ribs that are painted black. Tom recalls he was inspired by mid-century modern designs when he conceived this round pendant.
Decoding the design details of the Ditchley Wall Sconce, there is stalwart wrought iron in a black bronze finish and a glossy white acrylic diffuser that softens the glow of the light. Stylistically, it swings from industrial to modern farmhouse to rough luxe. The technology contained in it is just as important as its dynamic style, as it is lit by LED bulbs that screw into swivel heads that make it easier to even them up. This handsome black wall sconce was designed by Tom Caldwell. We also offer this design as a rectangular chandelier and a pendant.
The Schiappa Table Lamp is made of mouth-blown glass with a black surface onto which a mottled layer of multicolor glass has been added as it was being blown. To create an additional layer of artistry, a thick adhesive tape has been applied in a crisscross pattern that is sand blasted to remove the multicolor layer and reveal a black grid-like overlay. We also offer this design as a pair of decorative vases.
Recycled glass discs are encased in wrought iron in a satin black finish to bring the Augustus Chandelier great aesthetic strength. Design details of note are how unobtrusively the discs are fastened to the frame, the commanding size of the glass chandelier, and the fact that the discs grow smaller as they descend to the bottom of the shade.
The fluted porcelain body of the Orator Table Lamp is alive with wavy stripes of black and white. The striations bring the surface a feeling of movement and introduce texture into to a space. The polished nickel finish on the hardware and finial are bright elements, and the black shade grounds the composition, completing the stylish feel of this modern table lamp.
The Lyon Linear Chandelier was designed by Tom Caldwell as a handsome long chandelier to illuminate kitchen islands and bars. The bronze verdigris finish brings the metal serious warmth, which is contrasted by the white acrylic diffuser that softens the light. Tom notes that this bronzed chandelier would be perfect over a pool table or in a game room, and the fixture is dimmable.
The Appaloosa Table Lamp is made of ceramic onto which flecks have been splashed in matte black and dark green hues. The white base onto which the color is stippled has a heavier coating at the bottom to ground the black table lamp. As the pattern swirls toward the top, it is lighter, which creates an ombré effect.
Myriad recycled, recast glass discs are individually attached by hand to hang from a wrought iron frame finished in bronze to make the shapely Galahad Small Chandelier a true statement piece. The ample charm of the fixture is heightened by the glass, as the light source travels around the shade to glint through each one of the discs depending upon the position from which it is viewed. We offer the Galahad in several sizes and with blue glass discs.
Ian Thornton designed the Vero Table Lamp that is made of rubber wood. The mahogany stain makes this brown lamp with its thick and thin round sections handsome. The Vero is topped with a rough natural linen shade to enhance its good looks.
