The new Vinna Brass Round Mirror and the Arden Ivory Console Table are new this spring.

We’ve been hard at work to ready our High Point Market showroom for our new Spring releases that also debut on our website this week. If you stopped by to see what’s being introduced, we encourage you to take a look so you’ll know what you’d most want to see in person. We are still asking for attendees to make reservations to visit us; if you haven’t done so, please sign up here.

Events During Market Point Market

Pencil Cups by Shandell’s will be sold during High Point Market.
Pencil Cups by Shandell’s will be available in our showroom during High Point Market.

From April 1 through 4, we will be hosting Shandell’s Pop-Up Shop in the Currey & Company Showroom once again. Stop by and meet the bespoke shade-maker and artist behind the brand, Susan Schneider. Inspiration is guaranteed as you learn more about her specialized craft-marbling. The artist works in paper, leather, and fabric; and her distinctive shades, finials, home accents, and wearable art will be available for purchase.

Products with Purpose is a panel sponsored by Currey & Company

On April 2 from 10 to 11 am, we will host the “Products With Purpose” Panel Discussion at The Point. Nancy Fire, who has over 30 years of experience in the industry, will moderate. She was formerly the Design Director for HGTV and HGVT HOME, and has recently launched her latest endeavor, Nancy Fire Designs. A certified Green leader of the Sustainable Furnishings Council, as well as a board member, Nancy encompasses all aspects of sustainable home furnishings. Our Pam Bailey; international designer Kelli Ellis, also of Ronati; Kelly Finley of Joy Street Design; and Lisa Kahn of Lisa Kahn Designs will join the discussion, which will be centered around sustainable shopping at High Point Market. Immediately following, we’re sponsoring a complimentary Parson’s Table lunch at The Point, and welcoming everyone into our showroom for healthy, organic refreshments and a sustainable product tour afterwards.

During Market, We’re Golden

Given a small gold statuette has been in the news this week, we give a nod to the Oscars by presenting a variety of gold offerings that are new this spring. Look for other categories among our introductions in the coming weeks.

The Currey & Company Vinna Mirror

The vine of heart-shaped leaves flowing around the mirrored glass of the Vinna Brass Round Mirror creates a playful display pulled straight from nature. The cast aluminum motifs in an antique brass finish have a subtle glow to them that makes this gold decorative mirror a focal point on a wall. The vines are hand-shaped and the finish is hand applied on this mirror.

The Currey & Company Kenna Vase set, new this spring during High Point Market

The Kenna Green Vase Set includes large and small green and gold vases made of cast aluminum with striations running along the circumference of their surfaces. Bringing extra character to the set of vases are the mold lines that run the length of the pieces from top to bottom on both sides. These are the hallmarks of the artisanal handicrafts that flourish in India, as the organic patterns show the touch of the maker’s hand. Be sure to look for them among our accessories during High Point Market.

The Currey & Company Arden Pink Console

The Arden Pink Console Table is inspired by a 1970s reverse-painted glass antique our director of furniture Aimee Kurzner found at the Paris flea market. The console features silver peony reverse-painted glass panels on the top, front, and sides with solid brass trim. The gold and pink console table has a beveled top, and adjustable glides. We are including it in this look at gold products because the way the piece is trimmed in brass is remarkable.

The Currey & Company Parable Table Lamp, new this spring during High Point Market

The Parable Table Lamp is a gleaming beauty you shouldn’t miss during High Point Market. Though it deceives the eye into thinking it was created from metal, the gold lamp is made of ceramic that has been slathered in a gold metallic glaze. Designed by Tom Caldwell, the lamp sits atop a clear optic crystal base to keep the design light, as does the finial that matches the crisp white shade.

The Currey & Company Allegory Table Lamp

The design story the Allegory Table Lamp tells is a sleek and gleaming one. The extra tall and slender cylindrical body is formed from rods made of metal in an antique brass finish that are cleverly clasped together by a thin central ring. The white marble base and rectangular shade are pale elements that contrast the warmth of the metal, including the matching antique brass finial.

The Currey & Company Berwick Semi-Flush, new this spring during High Point Market

When Clarence Mallari designed the Berwick Semi-Flush, he was inspired by brutalist design. He called this storied aesthetic to mind by the placement and direction of the individual cut-metal shapes that surround the ivory fabric shade. Made of wrought iron in a contemporary gold leaf finish, the gold semi-flush is fitted with the latest Integrated LED technology.

The Currey & Company Andre Grande Chandelier

Clean articulated arms with resolute geometries make the big, bold Andre Grande Chandelier a powerful statement that can easily swing from contemporary to transitional styles, and many in between. Made of wrought iron in a brass finish, the gold chandelier will take on other personalities when the shapes of the bulbs are changed. Tall foyers and great rooms with high ceilings are perfect spots for this luminous modern light fixture. We have three different sizes of this chandelier debuting during High Point Market.
