Today we continue our series showcasing our newest products chosen by some of our most talented industry professionals as their favorites. We’re bringing you picks by Teresa Davis in this post, the founder of the Denver design firm Post 31 Interiors is as talented an artist as she is a designer.
Take a Bow, Teresa Davis!

From her earliest moments, Teresa was always creating. A childhood love and passion blossomed throughout her youth, and eventually took her to the University of Kansas where she pursued a degree in Fine Arts. A broad background of design, drawing, painting, photography, textiles, and ceramics instilled in her a deep appreciation of the arts, and they are intricately woven into her interior design projects.

The design mantra for Post 31 Interiors is “Collected. Crafted. Curated.” It explains the design aesthetic that serves as the foundation of her philosophy. Teresa has always valued collecting objects from travels, infusing the value of the “maker” in her design work with handcrafted elements, and curating with her discerning eye what becomes important to her interiors. Much of the appeal of her work arises from the subtle narrative between beautiful, luxurious fabrics; an intriguing mix of modern and antique; the interest of one of a kind pieces; unusual original art, photography, and sculpture—all carefully situated within a casually layered, comfortable approach. Her goal is to create interesting spaces that speak of a welcoming comfort: never fussy and never overdone. Her spaces inspire, connect, and bring people together.

Using her strong knowledge of design principles and establishing a close dialogue throughout the design process with her clients, she is able to weave a storyline that illuminates her clients’ lives, and invites others to do the same. During the past few years, Teresa has begun to complement her life-long figure studies by challenging herself to undertake art training in Paris where she has been studying with some very talented instructors. Through that journey, she is now spending time working at several different studios in the inspired City of Light alongside artists from all over the world. Upon overhearing her nickname “Gigi” during a studio break one day, her French artist friends exclaimed, “It is the perfect Parisienne artist name.” She now signs her artwork Gigi.
Teresa Davis on her Favorite New Products
Teresa’s design firm Post 31 Interiors is currently working on custom full-service design projects throughout the country, and we at Currey & Company are inspired that designers of her caliber choose our products to include in their interiors.

About our Ionian Table Lamp, shown above with one of Teresa’s inspiration boards, she says, “As if the soft blue dotted glass base is not enough to steal your heart, she’s crowned with a gorgeous indigo blue shade! I’m thrilled to report she has found a home with us.”

Our Middleton Rectangular Silver Chandelier caught her eye because, as she puts it so well: “Gleaming shimmer and shine within three long rectangles provide lighting for days…not to mention the interesting chain detail to pull it all together. Perfection over a dining table, or island for a little modern pizazz.”

About our Saranya Pepper Console Table, Teresa remarks, “It’s all about the long shapely, sculptural legs on this blonde beauty…aren’t they stunning? The Indonesian piece has a wire brushed, cerused finish, which brings it a light almond hue. This would work in any of our projects quite nicely!”

Teresa tapped our Madras anchors among our accessories because, “I’m a huge lover of interesting, compelling, and organic-looking accessories that bring a sense of adventure and interest to a space…those that might have a compelling story to tell. Perhaps this pair of intriguing black anchors were just unearthed from the ocean floor?”

Teresa was immediately captivated by our Blossom Three-Light Wall Sconce: “My oh my…you are ever so sexy and sparkly, sweet magnolia blossom sconce, and I am dreaming of introducing you to the next charcoal gray grasscloth powder room we come across…gorgeous meet handsome!”

About the Logan Gold Console Table, she says, “The struggle is real…how often do we search diligently for the perfect narrow console that also not only has extra storage, but such lovely intricate detail? I’m lining the back of a large indigo blue sectional almost end to end with several of these charmers, because where else will the middle people ever set their cocktails?”
