Las Vegas Shows Us Some Love!

It’s official! We were thrilled to have shared design love with all of those who made it to Las Vegas Market when our brilliant new digs debuted with a renovation celebration and ribbon-cutting. Our Vice-President/Creative Director Cecil Adams and his team unleashed a Herculean amount of effort to finish the now gleaming spaces on time. Given it is February and Valentine’s Day is just in our rearview mirror, let’s show the group some love: is that applause we hear?

Our Janelle Ink Settee sets the tone for this section of our new Las Vegas showroom. We definitely “got the memo” that blue is one of the hottest colors for 2020, as was declared by Pantone with their choice of Classic Blue this year!

Speaking of caring: a nice-sized crowd gathered for the “Be the Light” panel discussion we sponsored during Market. The round table, which was followed by a lunch reception in our showroom, celebrated triumphs over adversity with three of the design industry’s most inspirational talents: Wendy Glaister, Kerrie Kelly, and Laura Muller. The talk was moderated by Gail Doby, who led a thoughtful discussion highlighting how these dynamic business owners find peace, fulfillment, and success, even as they have worked through traumatic events in their personal and professional lives.

With an eye toward philanthropy, women’s empowerment, and corporate citizenship, these women continually challenge the status quo and put their lives at the forefront of socially conscious stewardship. During our lunch, donations for the Genesis 50-20 Foundation, which supports women affected by domestic violence, were raised. It’s never too late to make donations; you can do so by clicking through to the foundation’s website.

The 3rd Annual Kips Bay Palm Beach Decorator Show House is in full swing until March 1. The house at 260 Palmetto Lane in West Palm Beach was given a beautiful, bright makeover by an impressive list of remarkable design talent. Robin Gannon included seven of our products in her bedroom. In the above image of the room filled with abundant texture and color, our Fen Chandelier effervesces overhead while our Ovoid Pendants are bedside luminaries. As we close our post for February, we’ll end on one more note of warmth. During Atlanta Market last month, Luxe Interiors + Design’s Southeast Homes Editor Kate Abney led a discussion with three panelists called “Ahead of the Curve,” which looked at trends the designers were seeing during Market. Each had a theme they brought to the discussion, and our products were shown lots of love. Courtney McLeod chose a return to nature as her concept, including our Una Orb Chandelier in her picks. “There is an inherent optimism and joy in nature and this product exhibits these,” she explained. “It allows you to bring the feel of being out in nature into you home.”

Brynn Olson spoke about introducing extra layers into interiors, highlighting our Figuier Drinks Table: “I love the dark bronze with the antique brass. I can feel the hand of the artisan. It’s serious but it is filled with optimism.” And Chad James tapped Optical Illusion as his theme with our Auden Orb Chandelier in the mix. About the Auden, which satisfies his desire for transparent lighting, he remarked, “When I am scouting for projects that need pattern, I love taking the Auden Orb and let the fixture be the bell of the ball.” He often does so in lieu of wallpaper because, “If you have a big pattern on the wall, the light fixture will get lost.”

As we wrap-up our February blog post, a toast to all of you who are passionate about design!

We toast these designers, who are some of our industry’s renowned tastemakers; our team who has given us such an exquisite showroom in Las Vegas; the panelists who Were the Lights in Las Vegas; and the designers who created such a lively collection of rooms in the Kips Bay Palm Beach Decorator Show House. To all of you who are as passionate about design as much as we are, a belated Happy Valentine’s Day!
